50 Years of Greek-Korean Friendship Sealed

Greece and the Republic of South Korea celebrated on Friday, November 11 the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. For the occasion, two Korean warships have docked at the port of Piraeus and will remain there for the next three days. The warships will be open to public from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
The Korean Ambassador Tae-shin Jane, the president of the Korean community in Greece and the Naval Commander for the Southern Aegean attended the celebrations.
The Korean delegation honored the memory of the 192 Greek soldiers who lost their lives while fighting in the Korean War in 1950-1953. A special ceremony for Greek veterans who fought in South Korea was held on Friday evening as well.
