Goulandris National History Museum Presents "Chemistry in Ancient Greece"

Goulandris Museum of Natural History will host a lecture titled “Chemistry in Ancient Greece” tomorrow November 16. The lecture will be delivered by Professor Theodosis Tassios of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and it will inaugurate a series of lectures on the broader thematic aspect “Science-Technology-Economy in Ancient Greece”.
The lecture commences at 7:30pm at the Amphitheatre “Angelos Goulandris” of Gaia Centre (Othonos Street 100, Kifisia, Athens) and coincides with the International Year of Chemistry 2011.
The lecture aims at presenting the basic scientific concepts studying the composition of matter and the influence the ancient Greek civilization has practiced on the evolutionary levels of chemistry.
Admission to public is free.
