Today was the first meeting between President of the Republic of Cyprus Demetris Christofias and President of the pseudo-state TRNC Dervis Eroglu after their two-day tripartite meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon on October 30-31 in NY.
Their meeting revolved around the already commenced reunification discussions and until their next meeting with UN Ban Ki-Moon in January 2012 in NY the two Cypriot leaders will be meeting once a week.
The two leaders met at the residence of Ban’s special envoy, Lisa Buttenheim, in the buffer zone.
