Greek Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos said the country’s 2012 budget targets a primary budget surplus of 1.1% of economic output, adding that no further tax measures are included in the plan.
Speaking to lawmakers shortly before submitting the final budget draft to parliament, Venizelos described current conditions as “exceptionally difficult” for Greece but said the formation of the new coalition government was a positive sign.
Greece’s parliament is expected to vote on the budget Dec. 7.
