Irish Truck Driver Arrested in Greece Carrying €2 Million in Drugs

Over €2 million of cannabis has been seized by the Greek police Tuesday in an operation aided by the Irish Garda and PSNI units.
A Northern Irish man driving a truck was stopped near Athens and 100kg of the drug were found in the vehicle. The 36-year-old driver was immediately arrested and is being held by the Greek authorities.
In a follow-up operation, the Greek police went to warehouses on the outskirts of Athens, where a similar haul was discovered. The Police proceeded with three additional arrests of Greek men.
In Northern Ireland, the PSNI arrested a 34- year-old man , while Garda carried out relevant searches in Finglas, Dublin, and in Allenwood but made no arrest.
