Acropolis Museum to Host Christmas Events

Christmas will be celebrated at the Acropolis Museum with three music concerts that will be held on Thursday 22. , Friday 23 and Thursday 29 December.
On Thursday, 23 December, on the second-floor balcony with the view of the Archaic Hall, the Museum will offer to visitors a concert of works by composer Marios Strofalis.
On Friday 23 December at 17:00 in the Museum’s lobby the Symphony Orchestra of Athens Municipality will perform excerpts from Carmen, Don Giovanni, the Magic Flute, the Bat and the Nutcracker.
At five in the afternoon on Thursday 29 December at the second floor balcony with the view of the Archaic Hall, the Audio String Quartet will perform excerpts of classical, romantic and neo-romantic works.
The Acropolis Museum restaurant will remain open every day during the Museum’s working hours and every Friday it will remain open until midnight.
On Christmas and New Year’s Eve the Museum will be open from 8 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon.
The Acropolis Museum will be closed on Christmas Day and the Boxing Day, as well as on New Year’s Day.
