Greek Bodies to Boycott German Products

In their meeting on the new austerity measures introduced by the Troika, the Greek bodies of lawyers, doctors and the Technical Chamber of Greece decided among others to boycott German products.
In their announcement after the meeting, the three bodies highlighted the testing of the economic capacity and the limits of the Greek people by the Troika, who are constantly introducing new harsh initiatives although the country is still bearing the brunt of all previous austerity measures.
The bodies announced the initiative of a boycott of all German products in a symbolic protest over the lack of solidarity demonstrated by Germany towards its debt-hit European partner, and has called on all Greeks to join the boycott.
Further initiatives include:
1. Setting up special committees to examine and implement a realistic and applicable development plan for the country, in order to exit the current economic crisis.
2. Joint strike and abstinence from their duties.
3. Taking up different actions to inform the respective bodies in other EU countries.
4. The joint organization of an event on presenting problems and exchanging ideas in Brussels.
5. Conduction of controls in buildings of closed markets (banks, supermarkets etc.) on hygiene and security issues.
6. Joint effort of creating a protection index for all citizens and improving the social aspects of the country.
