14th Documentary Festival of Thessaloniki Presents "25th Meridian"

The 14th Documentary Festival of Thessaloniki will present the new documentary of Tania Hatzigeorgiou and Chryssa Tzelepi, “25th Meridian”, on March 11 and 13.
The documentary film portrays life on the island of Gökçeada (Imvros) both in the past and the present; the everyday life of people who never left their land. It presents the dreams that people continue to foster for a homeland that they were deprived of, that was violently taken from them, that was devastated. Memories, dreams, sacrifices, suffering, nostalgia, life. All these unfold through the stories of the heroes. It is their homeland that they are looking for in the rubble. It is their lives that they want to recreate. It is their dreams that they wish to be revived.
The documentary feature is 70min long and will be screened at 10.20pm on Sunday, March 11, and at 8.00pm on Tuesday, March 13, at the Pavlos Zannas venue in Olympion.
Ticket price is 4 Euros.
