Aristotle's Works Will Finally Be Translated into Modern Greek

Aristotle’s works will be translated into modern Greek for the first time. The new edition is the fruit of the excellent collaboration between Greek experts and the Society for the Study of Human Sciences. Thanks to the funds of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, the publication will be complete and ready for release in three years.
The creation of a complete annotated edition of Aristotle’s works in Modern Greek will soon be available to the eager audience, the first such edition of its kind. The completed work will comprise 22 volumes of original text, the modern Greek translation, commentary and the annotation, and a sixteenth volume containing a glossary and an index.
The Society for the Study of Human Sciences (SSHS) is a non-profit scientific organization founded in 1992 by academics and researchers to promote work in the field of human sciences.  SSHS organizes the Topika workshops, which bring together human scientists and researchers from around the world for educational meetings.
Many foreign countries have a translation of all of Aristotle’s works since the 19th century, but Greek Ministers of Education had neglected that issue until now.
The publishing house will be “Nisos” and Gerasimos Kouzelis, Professor of Sociology in the in Athens University, along with Vasilis Kalfas and Pantelis Basakos, Professors of Macedonian and Panteion University respectively, who will organize and direct it.
