Greek Restaurant Among the World's 100 Best

The list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants is compiled by British Restaurant Magazine, which recently announced this year’s list.
The results include restaurants of every continent, but Spondi is the only Greek restaurant which managed to make the list.
The renowned Athens-based restaurant ranks 69th, leaving behind it several famous restaurants, such as the Dal Pescatore in Italy, the Tetsuya in Sydney and the Guy Savoy in Paris.
For Spondi, this honor was not unprecedented. The Greek restaurant was also included in the 2007 list.
On the top of the list is the Danish restaurant Noma, located in Copenhagen. Noma has been awarded the prize for three years in a row. Its master chef, René Redzepi, wrote on his Facebook profile after he learned the good news. “1,204 people are on the waiting list tonight. On the same day in 2008, there were 14 customers during the whole day,” he wrote.
