Famous Irish Actress to Star in Play at Little Theatre of Epidaurus

Famous Irish Actress Fiona Shaw, along with the director of “Mamma Mia” and “Iron Lady” (starring Meryl Streep) Phyllida Lloyde, will put on a theatrical play at the Little Theatre of Epidaurus July 3-4.
It is the theatrical adaptation of poet Samuel Coleridge’s “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” which will by choreographed by renowned Kim Brandstrup, who studied Film at the University of Copenhagen and Choreography with Nina Fonaroff at London School of Contemporary Dance.
The Irish actress’ most recognized role may have been for her participation in the “Harry Potter” films as Petunia Dursley.
As for the English poet’s creation, on which the performance is based, it is quite long as a text and was written between 1797 and 1798. Coleridge is considered to be the founder of the Romantic Movement in England and a member of the Lake Poets. His critical work, especially on Shakespeare, was highly influential for English-speaking culture.
