'Aegean Arts Circle' Celebrates Creative Writing in Andros

The Aegean Arts Circle creative writing workshop  located on the island of Andros is celebrating its tenth anniversary from July 6th to 13th, with Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Olen Butler.
To be accepted, each participant has to submit a writing sample and/or a brief description of a writing project he/she wants to work on while in Andros. The goal is to produce a completed manuscript and get the feedback from a talented, inspirational workshop leader who is a master at his/her craft.
Participants work mainly in groups, but there is also private time for writing and revision.  The prerequisite for joining the group is reading  From Where You Dream by Robert Olen Butler. Registration is ongoing but limited.
Writers from the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe gather on Andros to work on their stories, often incorporating Greece’s landscape, history and colors in their writing.
Past workshop leaders have included distinguished writers Dorothy Allison, Connie May Fowler, Beatriz Bakidian, Stratis Haviaras, Adrianne Kalfopoulou, Elissa Raffa, Natalie Bakopoulos and others.
