Bulgarian President Rosen Plevnelief Appointed Honorary Professor at the University of MACEDONIA

Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev was awarded the highest of Greek honors – the Grand Cross of the Order of the Redeemer as well as the Order of Honor of Athens and Thessaloniki’s badge of honor during his two-day visit in Greece. The Bulgarian President was also honored with the honorary degree Honoris Causa of the University of Macedonia.
He was appointed Honorary Professor at the Department of Business Administration during a special ceremony on Thursday July 5 at the Macedonian capital, Thessaloniki.
Rector of the University of Macedonia, Mr. Ioannis Hatzidimitriou and chairman of the Department of Business Administration Mr Theofanis Karagiorgos, said that “nomination of Mr Plevneliev as an honorary doctor is a great honor for O.U.M.,” and explained the significance of enhancing the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Greece.
Chairman Karagiorgos presented Mr Plevneliev’s professional work and noted that before engaging in politics, the Bulgarian President had successfully organized and administered businesses in Bulgaria.
During his speech, Rosen Plevneliev underlined that the Balkan region is no longer to be regarded as a crisis symbol and when it comes to his political career, he noted that his modus operendi is not to promise everything to everyone, but to be efficient and trustworthy.
 
Minister of Macedonia, Thrace of the Greek Republic, Mr. Theodoros Karaoglou  as well as consulate representatives and local leaders were among the proud attendees.
