The first international Gay Culture Festival takes place for the first time on Skiathos, from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th July.
The Festival includes many interesting events such as fashion shows attended by famous Greek and foreign designers including aussieBum, MED, Modus Vivendi, Nikos Apostolopoulos and Tolis Skoulariotis. There will also be 15 theme parties, popular DJs, drag queen shows as well as the election of Greek “Mr Kouros 2012.” This beauty competition will be held on the Big Banana(!) beach.
Businessmen of the island have long awaiting this event which will give a big boost to the local economy. Moreover, Skiathos is expected to be promoted abroad due to the fact that about 5,000 people will take part in this festival, many of which come from all over the globe.
Many renowned figures of art, painting, photography, fashion and music are about to join the first Gay Culture Festival on Skiathos, too.
