Spain Defeats Greece in Under-19 Euro Final 1-0

A late goal from Jesé Rodríguez continued Spain’s dominance of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship, securing a sixth title in 11 years – and a second in succession – at the expense of a tireless Greece team. Spain won also the latest Euro cup a few weeks ago.
Spain had beat the Greek team one more time by the same score-line in the final of the competition five years ago in Austria.
With Greece offering virtually no attacking threat during the second-half and visibly tiring, Spain took advantage when Deulofeu slipped the ball into the path of the overlapping Rodriguez, who guided the ball inside the far post with a first-time finish.
Tsanas’ men barely mustered a fight-back though, with Gianniotas’ half-chance sailing over the bar before Dutch referee Danny Makkelie blew for full-time.
