Naxos Festival 2012 Opens Its Gates

It’s not the easiest thing in the world to organize a festival amidst the ongoing Greek crisis, but the Naxos Festival 2012 organizers have set their minds and hearts on running this year’s cultural events on the island. The 12th edition of the Naxos Festival will welcome its visitors from July 28th to September 9th with a series of different events, performances and seminars to be hosted at the Bazeos Tower, the Temple of Dionysus and Notos Club in Chora.
This year’s festival features Greek and international artists from different fields. Concerts, exhibitions, puppet show, seminars, dance performances, piano recital, jazz gigs and stand-up comedy are all part of the program. To learn more about the events and venues, visit NaxosFestival2012.gr
The events of 2-8 and 4-8 are admission free, while ticket prices for all other events are at 15€ and 10€. General admission to the puppet show: 10 €.
The festival is organized by AEON, a non-profit cultural organization, and with the cooperation of the Legal Entity for Culture, Sports, Environment, Education, Welfare and Solidarity of the Municipality of Naxos and the Small Cyclades (ΝΟPPAPPPA), the 21st Ephorate of Classical Antiquities and the Greek Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
