Former PM Papandreou Conflict with Former Greece's IMF Representative Heats Up

A heated conflict between former Greek Prime Minister Giorgos Papandreou and Greece’s former representative to the International Monetary Fund, Panagiotis Roumeliotis has attracted media attention in our country.
The arguement came as a result of Roumeliotis’ statements when accused by Papandreou’ associates. Now former IMF representative have asked Papandreou to publicly answer if he was aware of Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s views on the problematic aspects of the financial programme that Greece entered in 2009.
He particularly asked Papandreou to take an official stance on the following questions: 1) Why didn’t he immediately proceed with the restructuring of the Greek national debt, exactly as D. Strauss-Kahn had advised him to?, 2) Why did he accept that Greece received the loans on such a high interest rate from the Eurozone? And 3) Why did he accept such a short financial adjustment time period?
Roumeliotis claims he personally informed Mr Papandreou that these three issues needed to be handled differently, and he says he will give away more clues if necessary.
