Olympiakos Draws Arsenal, Schalke and Montpellier

Greek football champion Olympiakos will face Arsenal, Montpellier and Schalke in the 2012 Champions League reminding the fans somewhat of last year’s draw.
The Reds had an admittedly good draw in their Group B but are set to face Arsenal for the third time within the last four years, Schalke and Greek central defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos instead of last year’s Dortmund and the French champion Montpellier, which is better than last year’s Marseilles.
Olympiakos will receive 7.2 million euros for their participation in the Champions League groups alone. Moreover, for every winning game the team will get an extra 800,000 euro bonus, while each tie will bring in 400,000 euros.
The 16 finalists will get 3 million euros, the quarter-finalists 3,3 million; the semi-finalists 4.2 million. The loser of the final game will get 5.6 million and the champion will take home 9 million euros.
The first round of games takes place on September 18 and 19, the second on October 2 and 3, the third on October 23 and 24, the fourth on November 6 and 7, the fifth on November 21 and 22, and the final on December 4 and 5.

Group C:- Milan, Zenit, Anderlecht, Malaga
Group D:- Real Madrid, Manchester City, Ajax, Dortmund
