Opinion Poll Gives Opposition Syriza Party Narrow Lead

by -

Greece’s main opposition Syriza party would have a narrow lead over Prime Minister Antonis Samaras’s ruling New Democracy party if elections were held now, a Metron Analysis poll for tomorrow’s edition of Ependytis showed.
Syriza would get 27.7 percent of the votes compared with the 26.9 percent it got in Greece’s June 17 national election, according to the survey of 1,002 people, received by email from the Athens-based newspaper today. New Democracy would get 26.1 percent compared with 29.7 percent in the June vote, the poll showed.
More than 57 percent of the people polled said the country shouldn’t keep to pledges made to the European Union and International Monetary Fund in exchange for 240 billion euros of bailout funds as the policies have failed, compared with 40 percent who said it should stick to its commitments.
The poll, conducted on Sept. 18 and Sept. 19, had a margin of error ranging from 1.8 percentage points to 3.3 percentage points. The voter preference data strips out spoilt ballots as well as invalid and undecided votes.

“….of the people polled said the country shouldn’t keep to pledges”….

….says quite about about the “morals” of those people.

If any Greek has any doubts that Syriza ranters are breeding violent fanatics no less dangerous than Golden Dawn… just spend a little time listening to commie Syriza fan Sal on this website  (who just told the American diplomats that were recently murdered in Libya by Islamic terrrorists “got what they deserved”)

We need the 30% special OPAP tax on ALL companies.
With this tax – limited until 2020 – we can protect workers, pensioners and the poor.

Imposet a 30% special tax – as in the case of OPAP – on ALL companies – limited until 2020.
We need this tax on ALL companies.

With  the imposition of a 30 percent tax on the gross revenues of ALL companies as of the new year – limited until 2020 – we can protect workers, pensioners and the poor.

    The people suffered already enough.
So – impose a 30% special tax – as in the case of
OPAP – on ALL companies – limited until 2020. Again : we need this tax on ALL
    companies.

With  the imposition of a 30 percent tax on the gross revenues of ALL companies
    - limited until 2020 – we can protect workers, pensioners, the poor – and Greece.

Impose a 30% tax on all companies and the only thing you will have left is government jobs. GUARANTEED.

Go for it. Destroy what’s left in private business and then share the spoil of…….dumpster diving and fishing off wharf’s for the next meal. (It’s already happening.)

“You want to be the next Greece?”…..is what anyone in the world says when they want to LAUGH  at an economic model, now we need Syriza to finish the job. The new laughing stock line will be……”you want to vote for your own destruction just like Greece?”.

Sadly, the destruction of what’s left in Greece is just a ballot box away.

  • John

You will protect no one because there isn’t going to be any companies left to pay any taxes.

I really like you and just because of that and with Christmas coming in three month, I will ask Santa to give you a clue.

    Tsipras Greece……

Impose a 30000000000% special tax on ALL companies until 3020. This was we can make the poor into billionaires.

We should impose a 30000000000% special tax on ALL companies until 3020. This was we can make the poor into billionaires.

France has already 75% tax. So – if the 30% special tax – as in the case of OPAP  limited until 2020 – is to high for you – go to France.

  • catch tax evaders

The economic situation in France is better – nevertheless – France will impose a 75% special tax.

So – a 30% special tax – as in the case of OPAP – on ALL companies – limited until 2020 – will protect workers, pensioners and the poor.

France has a thriving business and technology. Greece produces feta and olives. If the current tax level is too low for you… move to North Korea.

France also produces things to afford a better qualify of life/ What does Greece produce?

And why stop at 30 percent? Why not a 30000000000%percent hike to “protect the workers, pensioners and the poor”. Lets make all our poor into millionaires!.

We are in massive amount of debt due to years of overspending. The “solution” to this problem by leftist… why spend more of course. Our struggling businesses are sure to hire many more employees if they are also being hit with yet another tax. I think we should take at a BILLION Percent just to make sure the “poor pensioners and workers” are taken care of. Putting even more Greek businesses out of business will help the poor in Greece. Communist economics 101.

Punishing honest business people for the crimes of tax evaders is sort of like shooting ones mother for some dog biting us. Utterly irrational. Far leftist economics rewards incompetent behaviour and punishes the competent. For as long as too many Greeks think along this entitlement “someone else owes us” mentality rather than take personal responsibility for our lives… our homeland will continue its downhill slide.

Incidentally you are misrepresenting that tax in France. Its not a business tax. Its an income tax on people that make over 1 million Euro’s per year. My issue here isn’t with taxing any  extremely wealthy that waste their money frivolously on themselves. My issue is that businesses not get taxed even more.

Corporate spending is not the same thing as a rich person buying themselves a gold plated toilet. A business generates tax revenues, jobs, and produces wealth not only consumes it.

Not only are you 100% wrong to suggest we should tax businesses even more but if anything taxes and regulation on businesses have to be reduced dramatically to make Greece more business friendly.

Take a cue from the shipping industry. They pay no corporate taxes directly but the Greek state gets all sorts of ancillary income taxes from employees, VAT, and other related sources. While Greeks in n heavily taxed industries are losing jobs.. . shipping industry is booming.

I will not move – and – by the way – my company is able to pay a – timely limited – 30% special tax on gross income to help Greece.
But greedy people – who think “the poor are not so important” should go to Turkey – sleep in the sun – or ask the poor how to punish them.

  • catch tax evaders

30% on gross income – as in the case of OPAP limited until 2020 – on ALL companies is enough – as you can see from the statistic.
The tax on private income could be 50% and not 75% as in France. But for ALL private persons.
The regulation on businesses is a problem – and has to be changed.
The secret service should catch the tax evaders and the law has to be changed – to punish this criminals even with death penalty.

The “greedy people” (and incompetent ones at that) are the self-righteous fanatics that support hurting businesses that help the Greek economy, produce jobs and taxes. (thereby HURTING the poor) Stick to checkers not economics.
