Clashes Outside Immigrant Detention Center

Clashes Outside Immigrant Detention Center

Authorities in northern Greece say clashes have broken out between riot police and protesters opposed to a new detention center created to house illegal immigrants.

Police say tear gas was used Monday outside the facility to push back more than 100 rock-throwing protesters. The center was created out of an old army base near the northern city of Drama, 675 kilometers (420 miles) north of Athens.
There were no immediate reports of arrests or injuries.

In part because of certain “Greeks’  that only know how to parasitically demand money from others and lecture about “anti-natioanlism” and “anti-racism” to every question…. rather than take actions to protect our homeland

I remember a couple of years ago some alleged “human rights’ activists (basically anyone can claim their political views are human rights) were complaining about squalid conditions for illegals in detention centers. I thought it was a fair criticism and the Greek government decided to build better facilities (despite we have no money)

I noticed today some of theose very same organziations complain about detention centers they themselves asked to be improved.

I used to trust anything NGOs used to say about human rights carte blanche but their recent selective blindness over FYROM’s sudden identity change and irredentism (as well as constantly demonzing Greeks for objecting to illegals in our country) has taught me some of the people that claim to support “human rights’ have prejudices themselves.

Racism also exists in human rights groups too. I don’t want to paint all of them with same brush but anyone that claims to support “human rights” and knows about FYROM issue… then says absolutely nothing about FYROM’s sudden identity change and irredentism…… is racist against Greeks. Some of them even seem to be trying to lump FYROM issue with GD to hide their shame for supporting FYROM 20 years ago.

Still waiting for articles on FYROM’s behavior. Come on Greek Reporter… repor on issues that are important to Greeks.

Media outlets like setimes.com seem more interesting in shilling for US military than report facts about Macedonia issue  (who frankly are currently betraying Nato ally Greece by pretending not to notice their behavior)

      http://www.setimes.com/cocoon/setimes/xhtml/en_GB/features/setimes/features/2012/10/01/feature-04

If someone doesn’t believe me… look and see if the setimes.com (which is funded by US military) has every reported even once “minor” details like this about FYROM’s so-called “ethnic Macedonians”

      “This (US)
Government considers talk of Macedonian “nation”, Macedonian
“Fatherland”, or Macedonia “national consciousness” to be
unjustified demagoguery representing no ethnic nor political reality, and sees
in its present revival a possible cloak for aggressive intentions against
Greece” – US State Department Dec, 1944 (Foreign Relations Vol. VIII
      Washington D.C. Circular Airgram – 868.014/26)

Update on  fake death of FYROM nationalist in Greece that was spread throughout FYROM media
(and even in some non-FYROM news organziations and EU diplomats.

Now the nutjobs on Mina is trying to spin their own propaganda as a Greek plot.

Greek reporter nowhere to be found?

If this  lack of reporting on behavior of FYROM and only attacks against Greeks continues I am going to stop using this website and tell other Greeks not to support it. I hope this is just an oversight of the person running this website.

Here is original Mina article where they claimed an immaginary murder without co-oberating the story with Greek authorities (who incidentally officially said no such incident happened but this didn’t stop FYROM anti-Greek trolls from spreading story… as well as FYROM’s Greek hating apologists who were also quick to support the story.,

       http://macedoniaonline.eu/content/view/21916/2/

Now that FYROM media, politicians, and fake “human rights” activitsts have been caught with their pants down as liars…. of course they blame Greeks again for it (this time another uncoberated story blaming the Greek secret service).

The Greek people need to wake up that these people HATE Greeks. Some are lliterally trying to ethnically Greek people to cover up their shame for supporting FYROM. They disgustingly hiding behind numbers because so many decided to reference them as “Macedonians”. No one who really cared about human rights would hide from their mistakes on this issue. They would apologize to Greek people for harassing us and denounce FYROM for consciously tricking them.

      ‘We are not related
to the northern Greeks who produced leaders like Philip and Alexander the

“We are Slavs who came to this area in
the sixth century … We are not descendants of the ancient Macedonians” -
      Kiro Gligorov, FYROM’s first President

      “The creation
of the Macedonian nation, for almost half of a century, was done in a condition
of single-party dictatorship. In those times, there was no difference between
science and ideology, so the “Macedonian” historiography, unopposed by anybody,
comfortably performed a selection of the historic material from which the
“Macedonian” identity was created. There is nothing atypical here for the
process of the creation of any modern nation, except when falsification from
the type of substitution of the word “Bulgarian” with the word “Macedonian”
were made.” (Denko Maleski, former Minister of foreign affairs of FYROM
from 1991 to 1993 in an interview to FYROM newspaper Utrinski Vesnik)

For example… the head of “World Macedonian congress” calls for erasure of Greece…. you have no clue about it because you are too busy ranting about Greeks. (much like other far leftists that are utterly clueless as to how extreme the anti-Greek rhetoric in FYROM is)

How is he going to erase Greece he is nothing he is a joke like Golden Dawn talk talk talk If Turkey would of said this I be worried but the Slavic State north of Thessaloniki it has its own problems inside its borders 60 percent is Slavic 30 percent is Albanian and 4 percent are Turks I think they are the one that might get erased not Greece Albanians have said if the Slavic state doesn’t join the European Union or NATO then there will be problems even civil war in the Slavic state north of Thessaloniki Iam not worried it might be called Albania pretty soon all Greece have to do is Veto it from joint the European Union which Greece will if they don’t drop the name Macedonia that is a fact.

All illegal immigrants should be deported to their homeland upon discovering that they are without any documentations at their own costs…

    • Alani

The Skopianoi of FYROM are lost mate, their propaganda is too powerful for their citizens

    • Anonymous

I don’t support GD brutish methods but I agree fully that illegals should be mass deported. I stopped trusting what any NGOs and foreign media had to say about human rights when they dishonestly started to pretend not to notice FYROMs behaviour. They seem to worry more about protecting their image and hiding their shame for supporting FYROM rather than apologizing to Greek people

Nothing personal against illegals but the Greek people didn’t invite them into our country  They disrespectfully broke in. Much like Greece has suffered the consequence of its own mistakes they to must accept the consequences of their own mistakes..

I keep bring this up because unfortunately GR seems to evade this topic. Frankly this site’s news seems to be more focused on US or GB than Greece. Greeks are interested in FYROM issue yet this reads like its trying to mimic the anti-Greek trollers in foreign media .(who evade FYROM’s irerdentism and sudden identity change like plague… imo to hide their shame because Greeks urned out to be right all along)

If the evasiveness continues I’m not going use the site anymore (And recommend other Greeks they don’t either) If I wanted to the Guardian evasive I would read the Guardian. I expect a Greek news outlet to report on this issue on a regular nearly daily basis (which is what FYROM media does.. to great success I might add).

How did IMRO try and erase Greeks before Sal? You already forgetten the Greeks that died at IMRO hands during balkan wars? WW2? Communist civil war?

Alone FYROM can’t do anything but they will get anyone who is anti-Greek to help them just as they did in the past (including naive communists like you that will do anything to show how we are all comrades)

The entire “Macedonian” identity is essentially a cult devoted to destroying Greeks (since their entire ethnic narrative hinges on usurping Greek identity)

    • Salconstandinidis

Well the Greek police would arrest them hold them for 30 days in a detention centre then they let them go to Athens.

    • Anonymous

There is no point arresting unless they are going to be deported. Anyone arrested should have their home country identified and sent back on a plane there as quickly as possible.  Any NGO official that self-righteously rants “racism”, the Greek government should offer to ship the illegal to their own country instead. Greece is not equiped to handle all these illegals.

“If Turkey would of said this I be worried”

      Turkey supports FYROM.

You are missing the big picture. All you see is FYROM. What you should be seeing is the masses of anti-Hellenic trolls that are funding FYROM as a proxy against Greece. They are portraying FYROM as “victim” to big bully Greece when defacto the bullies are the foreigners behind the scenes that support FYROM and trying to bully Greeks into giving up our very identity.

Turkish government does it as sneaky way to undermine Greece. Most of the rest are trying cover up their shame for betraying Greece (which you can tell because they dishonestly pretend not to notice FYROM’s sudden change into ‘anceint Macedonians” and “united Macedonia” irredentist rhetoric)
