The Embassy of Israel in Athens, in cooperation with the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation has organized a tribute to the Israeli Cinema, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education & Religion Affairs, Culture and Sports.
Israeli filmmakers will showcase their works at Greek film festivals and on Greek TV as well, and in other exhibit halls.
The event, 7 stories from Israel- Israeli Cinema Week, offers Greeks the chance to see the various facets of a productive society and a culture which is evolving as it tries to stand up to more well-known cinema venues. The seven movies describe seven stories of the Israeli community that differ from those usually seen in the media. The main events will be held at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation from Oct. 18-24.
