You should be aware by now that most Greeks don’t actually want to continue lending money from you with these terms, and would very much rather force a moratorium in the debt servicing as well as erase the part of the debt that is odious, and therefore your threat is more of a mutual wish for us.
We don’t think it is the fault of the Germans as a collective (As if all Germans and Greeks are the same) that we ended up here. We think it is our governments’ fault that we reached the dead end, but righteously blame the policy enforced by the EU and the IMF and largely advocated by Germany’s current government (which is distinct to you) for the further impoverishment of the Greek people.

You don’t give money away. You lend it in a profitable interest rate so that you will both have a profit in the long term, and you will save your bunkrupt banks in the short term (did you know that all money you so graciously give away to Greece actually goes to a fund from which it is all redirected to the french and german banks that are both insolvent with liquidity problems and happen to be our former lenders? Nothing remains for the public. Your government conned you in that it makes you bailout your own bank, through us and you maintain your delusions of solidarity). Aside from that the structural reforms forced by the IMF and your government do not serve to make us into a european country but rather to further destroy what economy we have left. You have not researched what those “austerity measures” really are, and that is your own limitation. You can’t save your friend by lending him money in exchange for his arms. The fact that our debt actually got bigger during this period that was otherwise destructive for us notwithstanding.

Your dear “ms merkel” is at the moment the greatest obstacle in creating a substantial european fiscal mechanism, and therefore impedes our progress towards a federalist state. So don’t brag about being a federalist. Your government is euro-skeptic at best, intending to only maintain a hard common currency that will aid its exports by whatever monetarist means necessary.
