The Greek Monsters are in Thessaloniki

The Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki is hosting an exhibit called The Greek Monsters until Dec. 31, as part of the 100th anniversary of celebrations marking the city’s liberation. It will feature creativity and development of 3D construction sculptures.
The Greek Monsters is based on the book The Misunderstood Monsters of Greek Mythology written by Anastasia Tendokali. Beetroot Design Group imagined these monsters as being sculptures and created them for an award ceremony in Berlin where they won the international prize Red-dot Communication Design Award-Agency of the Year in 2011..
The presentation attracted big crowds and Betroop Design Group received an invitation from Benaki Museum to present the exhibits that were on display until the end of June this year. As a part of the exhibition, visitors have the opportunity to take part in various educational programs and lectures. These activities aim at the communicative design image of Greek Monsters exhibition and give a symbolism against racism, and exclusion.
