Klaus Athanassiadis scored twice in the first half to lead PAOK to a 2-1 away win at Panionios in the Greek league Sunday (Video).
Christos Aravidis pulled one back for Panionios in the 56th, but PAOK held on despite being a man down from the 44th, when Costin Lazar was shown a red card for throwing a plastic water bottle back into the stands after a fan aimed it at him.
PAOK leapt over Panionios into second place, five points behind league leader Olympiakos.
A 24th-minute goal by Toche gave Panathinaikos its first home victory of the season, beating last-place AEK Athens 1-0 (Video). Panathinaikos rose to sixth place.
