Cretan Coleslaw Aims at Guinness Record

The residents of Agia Varvara, Crete will put their forces together on Nov. 4 to make the a coleslaw salad to set a Guinness World Record.
The Cultural Association of Agia Varvara initiated the idea in which local natural food products will be used to make a salad 2.5 kilometers long, the length of the village.
According to estimations, they are going to need more than three tons of local coleslaw and a lot of hands to realize this achievement. On the same day, the event will be surrounded by others, such as a local food product exhibition, coleslaw theme food presentations, electronic recording of the salad, offering salad for free and live traditional Cretan party in Church’s yard.
There was no mention of what would happen to the salad. The event comes during a crushing economic crisis in Greece in which many people are going hungry.
