Billionaire Sahenk Buys Into Flisvos Marina

Looking to expand Internet operations. Ferit Şahenk, the Chairman of Turkey’s Doğuş Holding conglomerate and one of the country’s wealthiest people with a fortunate estimated at $3 billion, has bought 50% of Flisvos Marina, the Mega Yacht destination. Lamda Development (Latsis Group) announced the new cooperation between Turkish and Greek companies.
Dogus Group is one of Turkey’s largest conglomerates, active in seven business lines: financial services, automotive, construction, media, tourism and services, real estate and energy, operating with 150 companies and a workforce of over 29,000.
Dogus Group has implemented several social responsibility projects, particularly supporting child development, education, environment, culture and arts, and sports and remains a sustainable growth and transformation leader in Turkey. The company also owns the biggest private bank in Turkey, Garanti Bank, four TV channels and leads in tourism and electric energy sectors and supported Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In 2011, journalists working in NTV Channel (Dogus Group’s channel) who supported Erdogan’s opponents did not get their contracts renewed.. In October, Dogus bought Turkey’s first private TV channel STAR from the Dogan Group for $327 million.
