Greek Skier Barely Escapes Avalanche (video)

skierA harrowing video from the helmet camera of a Greek skiier in Vasilitsa shows him narrowly escaping death when an avalanche covered him as a group was preparing their descent.
He managed to cling to a tree, while his camera was recording what happened until he was completely covered in snow. But just before that it showed the fury of the rumbling avalanche advancing.
According to The Daily Mail, the skiier only had four seconds to brace himself and grab onto the tree after turning to see the churning wall of snow speeding toward him.
Lunging to a nearby tree, his hands quickly extended to grasp a thin branch for dear life just before the footage taken from his GoPro camera snapped to complete black.
The man looks back just twice, the second time here, as he makes his way toward a nearby tree to grab at whatever he can for help.  For the next 10 seconds the man is seen tossed and turned in the wave of white with skimp signs of light momentarily shining through. He is heard coughing as he works to dig himself out while gradually uncovering his helmet camera in the process and lived to tell the tale.
