Greece Launches Six Tenders for Marinas

marinaPrivatization agency of Greece (TAIPED) will launch six international tenders for Greek marinas by June to boost yacht tourism, it was announced on March 28, at a joint press conference of the agency and the Greek Tourism Ministry.
The tender is said to be launched on March 29. TAIPED’s President Stelios Stavridis said that “we treat privatizations like a growth driver with multiple benefits”.
According to TAIPED’s CEO Yiannis Emiris, “the first tender will include the marinas of Alimos, Hydra, Poros and Nea Epidaurus”.
“We have taken a big step towards the development of the country’s tourism product through this project,” he added.
Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni said that the ministry would alleviate administrative and tax burdens, so the Greek tourism product would be competitive in comparison with other neighboring countries.
