The first intensive program for Greek tour guides will take place from May 15-July 15 at Ionian University in Corfu. This program is intended for graduates of the History and Archeology Department by direction of Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni.
The maximum number of trainees will be 40 and those interested in applying must submit their applications and supporting documents to the Ministry of Tourism by April 17 before selection of participants is decided.
The participants will be chosen according a review of their accomplishments, skills and other social criteria and the number chosen will depend on the number of applicants as well. More information about the program can be found at: www.gnto.gov.gr and www.otek.edu.gr.
