Greek Researchers Find Cancer Antibody

4F03AD86576FB050CC913C03AA660CF8Greek researchers discovered an antibody that ceases cancer metastasis, and will base a new anti-tumor medicine on their discovery.
Dr Lia Patsavoudi, also a Biology professor at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, conducted a 15-year research with PhD students at the Institute Pasteur in Greece.
After a series of experiments, the group of researchers is certain to find a potential powerful anti-cancer factor.  Now they have to find private sponsors to fund the clinical tests on humans, before the antibody is launched into the medicine market.
Biologist and biotechnology business consultant Nassos Alevisopoulos, who is leading this effort, explained why he thinks Mab4C5, the antibody discovered by the group of Dr Patsavoudis, may be interesting to investors: “Monoclonal antibodies constitute at the moment powerful anti-tumor factors.  I think Mab4C5 is a safe and effective antibody against cancer. I hope clinical tests on humans will prove it”.
