Greek Flavors Festival at Technopolis

logoAuthentic Greek products, recipes combining tradition with originality and tasting events compose the program of the first Greek gastronomy festival Greece-Celebration- Flavors, which will be held from April 12 to 14, at the Technopolis Cultural Centre in Athens.
Cheese, cured meat products, sausages, traditional pasta, spices, sweets and jams are just some among the products that will be brought from every corner of Greece and will be presented at the festival.
The heart of the festival will be the first Exhibition of Small and High-Quality Greek Producers, in which “small” producers distinguished for the quality of their products will participate. The visitors will have the opportunity to vote and show the best products that will be presented by the exhibitors.
The exhibition will be supported by three thematic units. Important chefs, such as Lefteris Lazarou, Yiannis Loukakos, Dimitris Skarmoutsos, Aris Tsanaklides and Christoforos Peskias, will deliver cooking classes.
In the unit Conductor of Tradition, chefs and authors of cooking books will show how we can make Greek traditional recipes. Among others, the visitors will learn how to knead bread dough, how to make sausages, trahana, liqueurs, jams and cheese.
Finally, Taste workshops will be organized, with wine, cheese, microbrewery and sausage tasting.
In the courtyard of the Technopolis area, specialties from around the world will be sold in the form of tapas. The festival is organized by the magazine Athinorama in cooperation with Technopolis, under the auspices of the Municipality of Athens.
