Larissa Festival Features New Directors

larisaThe Mediterranean Festival of New Directors took place in Larissa, the capital and biggest city of the Thessaly region of Greece from April 4-7 and featured 51 short films, 18 in the international category and 33 in the Mediterranean.
A photography exhibition by Fotis Natsioulis took place during the festival, featuring Barbis Vozalis, founder and President of the Film Club of Larisa, in commemoration of his work.
At a news conference, the honorary Golden Horse was awarded to the Pan-Hellenic Union of Cinema Critics. Andreas Tyros, the Union’s President and a well-known cinema critic, was there to receive it.
In the International Film Category, the Golden Horse was awarded to Damian Dionisio (Argentina) for his Lost Regards and the Silver Horse to Marguerite Didierjean (Belgium) for her picture, Dancing. In the Mediterrenean Film Category the Golden Horse was won by Josecho de Linares for his film My Right Eye, and the Silver Horse went to Michael Guirase’s Clay.
