Why Papadopoulou Biscuits Are Different

MPISKOTOEXO_518_355Papadopoulos is one of the largest and most significant food companies in Greece. Its history goes back many years, when, in 1916, the first Papadopoulos cookie was prepared in the kitchen of Papadopoulos family in Constantinople, and was marked with a simple wooden seal.
In 1922, following the catastrophic events in Asia Minor, the family Papadopoulos relocated to Athens and started the production of biscuits in Greece.
The historic company has bucked the trend of cutting salaries and laying off workers during the country’s crushing economic crisis, keeping its staff and even providing raises.
The company has about 1,200 workers and recently hired another 55.  “This is our way to support our country and to express our gratitude to our employees,”a company officials told newsit.gr. The company has a vast product portfolio and brands making it known as a Greek biscuit even in other countries.
