Athens Airport On Awards List

AERODROMIO_533_355Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos is once again in the short list of the Routes Airport Marketing Awards Europe 2013, voted for and judged by the airline network planning community.
Athens International Airport has been chosen to be included in the short list for best tactic, design and realization of financial motives’ and support’s programs towards other companies.
All the winners and highly commended airports, as well as the winner of the Destination Marketing Award will be announced at the Budapest Networking Evening at Routes Europe on 13th May 2013 by a group of specialists in aviation companies.
Athens International Airport reports in an announcement: “The fact that the airline network planning community has voted for Athens International Airport is an important recognition of the airport’s enhanced support and direct response to the current conditions, with the additional offer of targeted motives to the companies, which correspond to reduction up to 30 percent of the airport’s charges.”
The announcement continues: “This recognition is a motivation for us to keep on reinforcing our activities, participating with substantial and targeted measures both in business risk and development activity.”
The Routes Awards were created in 1997 to recognize excellence in airport marketing as voted by airlines and are highly regarded as the most prestigious awards within the air service development community, according to Routes Online official website.
