Six Arrests,1 Escape in Terrorist Case

19E056227554ADB72FE7DCB0483BE750The Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Greek Police is alarmed, after bringing six young people to justice, but losing one woman who managed to escape. According to the police, the detainees are suspected to be involved in robbery cases related to terrorism.
Among the six people, there are two wanted for the robbery in Velvedo, Kozani. The police found them by following individuals from the anti-authoritarian circles and by monitoring their telephone contacts. Police officers estimate they may be close to members of the Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire.
The police detected the six suspects at a pub in Nea Philadelphia, Athens. One of them, a young woman, managed to escape after the police operation and is not included among the detainees. The suspects aren’t talking. The police will proceed to identify those who are wanted.
One of the detainees was released as, according to the police, no evidence of involvement in any action was found.
