Cuban tradition will take the stage at this year’s Second Cuban Festival which will take place on June 8 at Votanikos Live Stage in Gazi, Athens.
The rhythmic beats of Cuban music, with its explosive hip-hop, latin, and salsa rythmes will prevail and show why it’s so popular around the world.
This year’s festival welcomes the band Cuban Beats All Stars who will perform a tribute to Orishas, a well-known Cuban hip hop group from Havana.
The Cuban Beats All Stars are the successors of Orishas and will try to introduce the Greek audience to the music of their favorite band which was dissolved in 2010.
Odalis Palma, Baclava Cubano, Grupo Inle, Ivan Lopez, Mariela Nelson, Yoel Pereira, Miguel Angel Bautista, Dj Niko Marinou, Dj El General, Dj Acebes and other will also perform.
During festival a series of side events will take place, such as artistic exhibitions and video projections, in order to transmit the image of the life in contemporary Cuba. The Second Cuba Festival is under the auspices of the Embassy of Cuba in Greece.
