Tsipouro Restaurants in Volos ISO Certified

volos1Following an initiative of the Catering and Entertainment Association of Magnesia, which aims at promoting gastronomic tourism and protecting the reputation of the tsipouro restaurants in the region that are the reference point for both locals and visitors, Volos’ tsipouro restaurants will get ISO certification.
As Apostolos Athanassos, President of the Catering and Entertainment Association of Magnesia explained to ANAmpa, the aim of this enterprise is to promote tsipouro restaurants and establish confidence among clients.
The control and the certification procedure will be conducted by a specialized chemical laboratory, with which the Association cooperates, and the cost of the whole procedure will be paid for the first year by the Association.
The Association is creating a special webpage for all the tsipouro restaurants that entered the ISO certification procedure. So from June 10 on, visitors to Volos will be able to find useful information on tsipouro restaurants around the city.
The Catering and Entertainment Association of Magnesia will send the information concerning the new ISO certified tsipouro restaurants to travel agencies around the country and will contact cruise ships so that when they stop by Volos, tourists on board will be able to taste the city’s delicacies.
