A married couple was found brutally murdered at their residence at Coast Nireos, Aliveri, Euboea. The couple’s daughter who lives in Athens had been trying to call her parents all day, but there was no answer. She was very concerned and called the police who immediately went to investigate the house.
The house was locked so they jumped the fence and the first thing they saw was the 54-year old mother fallen in the yard hit with a concrete slab on the head. Then they entered the house and found the 56-year-old gynecologist also dead. He was brutally murdered with a wood that passed through his carotid.
Everything was in order inside the house so the initial motive for robbery was weak. The policemen were led to believe that the motive for this double murder was the settlement of professional or personal disputes.
Among other people, the police arrested a 23-year suspect from Pakistan who occasionally worked for the couple.
The murderer took 120 euros and credit cards. The time of the murder was determined to be about midday, on Saturday June 1.
