More Arrivals at Araxos Airport in 2013

Araxos Airport is a civilian airport located near Cape Araxos in the Achaea prefecture and serves the city of Patras, as well as the western part of the Peloponnese region. It is also known as Araxos National Airport or Agamemnon Airport.
In particular, according to official data, 5,455 passengers arrived in May at Araxos Airport, compared to 5,220 passengers the same month last year.
Regarding the origin of the passengers, 1,756 came from Germany, 1,147 from Italy, 286 from Austria, 264 from Russia and 140 from Belarus. In addition, 1,855 passengers arrived from Cyprus.
The civilian airport of Araxos receives mainly charter flights that carry tourists who wish to take holidays in the regions of Elis and Achaea.
In June, about 35 flights from and to the airports of Italy, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Austria, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Cyprus are expected, while it seems that July and August will be the busiest months.
