Greek police say that a 44-year-old woman killed her husband, a 61-year-old taxi driver, by stabbing him 12 times while in slept, in front of their three-year-old child.
The victim was from Pyrgos, where his relatives have been informed, except for his mother. Authorities said the killing occurred on the morning of June 6 and that two other children, 13 and 15, discovered later what had happened. The couple had been married two years. The older children were the victim’s, from a previous marriage.
The suspect had reportedly had psychological problems and officials said she blamed the killing on severe financial problems the couple was suffering. According to ilialive.gr, the cab driver’s funeral will take place on June 8 in his hometown in Koliri, a suburb of Pyrgos.
