3rd Athens Open Air Film Festival is Here

AFA57CA2C69D0839174871BB4F4F3BC6The Athens Open Air Film Festival returns this year with outdoor film screenings, events, concerts, master classes, and short films, all set against the backdrop of Attica’s most distinctive monuments.
The primary goal of this event, which will run from July until September, is to draw attention to the center of Athens and its suburbs, so that residents and visitors are reacquainted with the city.
The Festival is free and the among the venues are outdoor film theaters, the region around the Acropolis (Dionysius the Areopagite pedestrian walk), museums, Plato’s Academy Park, Saint Irene Square, Avdi Square and Metaxourgio.
This year’s program includes classic films, nouvelle vague films, Greek cinema, Hollywood productions and much more.
The film program will be announced in the coming days, but it is already known that little “diamonds” will be included, such us Nikos Panagiotopoulos’, I dream of my friends (1993), and Megan Griffiths’, Eden (2012) a film on human trafficking.
