Greek Students Invent Frappe Machine

Frappe_MachineEven during the darkest times in Greece, Greeks aren’t giving up their beloved frappe, a cheap coffee concoction almost everyone sips for hours while sitting around smoking or talking in cafes, and now two students at the Department of Electrical Engineering  of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete have put their skills to use inventing a machine that does the work for you.
Giorgos Baroumas and Stavros Zabetis, put all their imagination, knowledge and talent to construct this innovative machine that makes the “traditional” Greek frappé coffee which is ready to drink with no effort at all.
The two had to think of a topic for their final year project and after the instigation of their supervisor, Professor A. Kiprakis, decided to create the “ultimate” frappe machine, which, as demonstrated in the video, functions in a very simple way.
The domestic device, technically described as PLC-controlled Frappé Coffee Machine, weighs around 10 kilograms and it is programmed to make the “absolute Greek drink” with or without milk and with a specifiable quantity of sugar.
The patent of the two imaginative and creative students could well be launched in the market after minor improvements.
