Wage below 586 Euros by Ministerial Decision

5CCB018CFEA1B0377B83E7FDA5B81CB7The Troika opened the backdoor for a wage below 586 euros by issuing a ministerial decision, cancelling the definition of the minimum salary by law, as it was initially provided by the decision of the Ministerial Council of the Ministry of Labor.
In a meeting which was held at the Ministry on June 12, an objection was raised which asked the definition of the minimum wage by ministerial decision and not by law.
That means that the Minister of Labor is the one who will decide whether the minimum wage will remain at 586 euros or if it will be reduced, if required by the lenders.
According to the Ministry, there is no question of  further reduction before the end of the adjustment program, which means until the end of 2016.
