On the morning of June 15, the rapist who had spread terror in the region of Galatsi, Athens was arrested. According to the police, he is a 32-year old man from Albania, who raped women at knife-point and then took their mobile phones and money.
The police had an ongoing operation during the last months to detect and arrest the man, using woman police officers as bait. When the rapist was detected, he resisted arrest with punches and kicks.
As it was identified, he had raped at least two women, while the police are investigating whether there are more victims.
