The thousands of visitors who flock each year to the banks of the Aliakmonas river in Imathia, seem to confirm that this river party is the best Greek camping fest within the summer. This year it takes place from July 31 to August 4.
It has been described as the ultimate summer festival, the most musical, breeziest and enjoyable party that takes place on the banks of the Aliakmonas. It is therefore one of the major musical events of the summer, given that it also hosts some of the first line artists.
Last year’s River Party hosted more than 50,000 visitors from all over Greece, giving everyone some pretty memorable moments of summer fun.
It is such a successful festival that it ranks within the 12 most important European festivals of the “Europe Festival Awards 2012”.
