kefalogianniTourism Minister, Olga Kefalogiannis, during her speech on online tv of AMNA, said the reduction of VAT, “will be the best way to have a competitive product.”
“We have nothing new on the VAT reduction in food. This is one of the issues which the Tourism Ministry has posed from the beginning, because we think it will be the best way to have a competitive product,’ she said.
She called on all tourism professionals as well as those who come into contact with visitors to Greece to show “Greece’s best face.”
“We’re in the middle of the tourism season and we should all bear in mind that the very good tourist arrivals to our country and the very optimistic messages we have from the beginning of the year, need to be verified the help all tourism professionals and all those who come into contact with visitors to our country to show the best face of Greece.”
“We, as the Tourism Ministry, will make our assessment at the end of the year. For this reason I ask at this stage everyone to show our best. This means good prices, good service and cleanliness,” Kefalogianni said.
