Three cruise ships carrying 6,600 tourists arrived at the port of Heraklion, Crete. According to cretalive.gr, among the ships are the giant Noordam of the Holland America Line and the AIDA.
In particular, the ships that have arrived at the port are the following:
- Noordam from Haifa to Kusadasi with 2,800 people (passengers and crew)
- Aida Diva from Ashdod to Marmaris with 3,200 people
- Aegean Odyssey form Rhodes to Pireaus with 600 people
The measures are very strict while the people responsible are on foot to serve the foreigners and the passengers of the Cretan ships of the MINOAN LINES and ANEK LINES that have also arrived at the port.
Meanwhile, Crete expects more tourists due to the situation in Egypt, as from this November until March more than 50,000 tourists will arrive in Crete.
“We do not wish those things for our neighboring countries. We want peace and quiet. Everywhere in our neighborhood. Because you can win one year, but then they can take their ships and leave, they can go to Asia as some companies do,” the Heraklion Port Authority President and CEO, Ioannis Bras said.
