According to the Daily Mail, a good 53 percent of British tourists made bookings for Cyprus believing it is part of Greece.
Claire Bentley, member of the British Airways Holiday, which is the company that conducted the survey, said: “It is surprising to think that people are prepared to spend their hard-earned wages on a holiday, without researching something as important as its location.”
