Two Big Fires Broke Out in Euboea

Eubea_fireTwo big fires broke out in forest land with pine trees in Ritsona and Psachna, both located in Euboea, Greece.
The firefighters are struggling with the flames to extinguish both fires.
Residential areas in both cases have not been threatened.
The first fire is burning a pine forest and dry grass, while, according to the Hellenic Fire Department, the strong winds blowing in the area are making the fire-fighting effort more difficult.
A number of 22 vehicles, 56 fire-fighters, four aircraft and two helicopters are at the scene. The smoke can be seen from Chalkida.
According to the Fire Department, 12 fire-fighters with six vehicles, 16-member groups on foot, four aircraft and one helicopter are in Psachna.
