Samaras Meets More Business Leaders

1963607_533_355In his meeting with Ginni Rometty (Chairwoman and CEO of IBM, and the first woman to head the company) and Spyros Poulidas, Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras discussed the government’s intention to gradually promote the country as Technology and Innovation Center for the wider geographical region.
In order to do so, they agreed that the right skills need to be developed, attracting investments and making use of the available human resources of the country.
The company appears ready to cooperate with Greek SMEs, providing training and programs to supports them. One more project of the company is the creation of a business analytics center for investments in Europe. The expansion of the company is expected to generate around 120 new workplaces for specialized staff.
In his meeting with Laurent Freixe, Executive Vice President of Nestlé, Samaras discussed the company’s program for expansion of its investment concerning the cooperation with Greek suppliers for the factories it has in Greece. Nestlé has an investment plan for the creation of 10,000 workplaces in Europe, 600 of which will be in Greece. This personnel will be trained and employed by the company at least for three years.
